The "S1023 Classic Stripe Work Shirt Beige" from PREQUEL takes the form of the early 20th-century work shirt and reimagines it in a significantly finer fabric. The starting point was the question of how a design from around a hundred years ago could be translated into a shirt for today's everyday life without simply copying it.

The fabric is an in-house development made of pure cotton weighing approximately 140 g/m². Narrow stripes alternate with small geometric motifs, which give the surface relief and depth. From a distance, the shirt appears subtly striped; up close, the pattern becomes truly legible.

When cutting the fabric, the chest pockets are positioned so that the pattern continues exactly across them. This requires more fabric and time, but keeps the stripe pattern consistent across the front. The buttons are made of natural shell.
