JELADO's "CM47 HBT Baker Pants" are based on the M-47, the utility and field trousers introduced by the US Army in 1947 as the successor to the M-43. They were worn both in active service and for heavy labor. Compared to the predecessor model, the large side cargo pockets were omitted.

The fabric is the first in the new COMBAT MILLS series, for which JELADO has disassembled and analyzed original military textiles. A cotton herringbone twill is woven using cotton from the American South. As with the historical originals, S- and Z-twist yarns alternate in the warp. This increases tear resistance and gives the herringbone pattern its clearly defined broken structure. The surface remains slightly irregular, with a feel that is soft yet sturdy.
