Denim Jacket Elephant 2 Reborn

The "Denim Jacket Elephant 2 Reborn" by Naked & Famous is a classic denim jacket made from Elephant 2 Reborn, the third iteration of one of the most famous fabrics from the Canadian brand's Elephant series. The series is known for its exceptionally heavy Japanese selvedge denims. Elephant 2 has been re-released due to the distinctive fades that the denim develops over time.

The 22 oz heavy fabric is made of 100% cotton and is woven in Japan. The warp yarns are rope-dyed in indigo, meaning the dye only colors the outer layers of the yarn, leaving the core light. Through friction during wear, this light core gradually emerges – especially in high-stress areas such as the collar, button placket, pocket edges, and cuffs. This creates high-contrast fades over time.

Unworn, the denim is dense and stiff. Over time, it becomes softer and develops distinct creases and an individual texture. The jacket is made in Canada and features a full-length button placket, two patch chest pockets with flaps, two side hand pockets, and a patch made of 10 oz vegetable-tanned leather that darkens over time.
