The iconic Engineer Boot from Jelado is made from rare Horsebutt horse leather, which comes from the robust transition area between the lumbar spine and the tail vertebrae. The leather is dyed black using ‘pigment finishing’, whereby the brown core - the characteristic Tea-Core leather - appears in the stressed areas and develops a unique patina over time.

It is characterised by a modified fit that subtly sets it apart from other vintage boots of the same period. A striking detail is the gusset, which ensures greater freedom of movement. The original shape has been adapted, the toe cap removed and the ankle strap modified at the base to ensure an even better fit. The result is a boot with a fresh vintage character that is particularly comfortable to wear thanks to its customised fit.
