The "Fellini Boot" by Chico Imrie is an exclusive development for Burg & Schild — created in close collaboration with Julian Imrie.

While informed by the structure of a classic service boot, the Fellini moves in a more refined direction. Where the Coppola emphasises robustness and presence, the Fellini focuses on line, proportion, and restraint — a quieter expression of the same underlying principles.

Its design references earlier work boot styles from the late 19th to early 20th century — roughly the 1880s through to the 1920s — a period where silhouettes were often slimmer, more elegant, and closer to the foot. This influence is visible in the cleaner lines and more elongated profile of the boot.

Built on the 343 last, developed by Imrie, the shape is narrower and more fluid, with a refined toe and a balanced, continuous line from heel to toe. As with all of his work, the last is designed with anatomical considerations in mind — supporting natural movement while maintaining a precise visual form.

The upper is made from Canguro Nero — kangaroo leather known for its exceptional strength relative to its weight. Compared to traditional calf leather, it is finer, denser, and more responsive. Over time, it develops a tighter, more subtle pattern of creasing, giving the surface depth without the heavier break associated with thicker hides.

Construction follows a traditional Goodyear welted process, paired with a leather midsole for structure and an AIRBORNE Gripflex sole for durability and everyday use. The combination keeps the profile understated while maintaining practicality.

Produced in small quantities in Italy, each pair reflects a considered approach to material, proportion, and long-term wear.
