The "Indigo Black Corduroy Western Shirt" by Pure Blue Japan is an unusual interpretation of the classic western shirt – implemented with a fabric that is rarely seen at the brand.

The shirt is made from fine corduroy with a narrow rib. This so-called fine-wale structure creates a significantly calmer, almost elegant appearance compared to coarser corduroy. At the same time, the fabric remains soft and flexible, making the shirt easy to wear as a layer under jackets or overshirts.

Typical of Pure Blue Japan is the strikingly curved construction of the yoke and chest pockets. The strongly curved lines give the western shirt a unique dynamism and clearly distinguish it from classic models.

The color is achieved by first dyeing the shirt with indigo, before overdyeing it black. This overdyeing process creates a particularly deep, almost black indigo. Over time and with wear, the indigo undertone gradually reappears, creating a vibrant, unique patina.
