The "MC22006 Pocket Tee" from The Real McCoy's is inspired by T-shirts from the 1950s – a time when the T-shirt transitioned from underwear to an independent garment. After World War II, soldiers continued to wear their simple cotton shirts in everyday life, and workers adopted them as functional clothing for hot days. Especially in workshops and factories, a version with a chest pocket emerged, combining practical utility with a clear, minimalist form.
The Real McCoy's embraces this development and manufactures the T-shirt in Wakayama on old circular knitting machines. This traditional production method results in a fabric without side seams, with a dense structure and noticeable weight. The 8oz Ultra Heavy Jersey feels dry and substantial, drapes cleanly on the body, and retains its shape even after frequent wear and washing.
