The "JG-03 1930s Neverlost Jacket" by John Gluckow is based on an original Engineer Jacket from the 1930s, as worn in industrial environments in the USA. The design does not follow a fashionable interpretation, but rather a direct transfer of a personal vintage piece from John Gluckow's collection.
At its core is a lightweight selvedge denim made of 100% cotton, woven in Japan. The fabric is designed for a reduced grammage and moves between classic workwear denim and lighter utility material. The surface initially appears calm and compact, but with wear, it develops an open, irregular structure that visibly changes along the stress zones.
Characteristic of the original are the asymmetrically placed chest pockets, which were not symmetrically balanced but purely functionally arranged. This construction is fully preserved and determines the visual tension of the jacket. The design is complemented by reinforced seams in the shoulder and arm areas, which refer to the original stresses of everyday work.
