The "Late 40's Jacket" by TCB reconstructs a trucker jacket from the second half of the 1940s. Its construction is based on the characteristic proportions of these early models with broad shoulders and a shorter torso. The jacket is manufactured in Kojima, Okayama, the center of Japanese denim production.
The 13.5oz selvedge denim has a deliberately irregular yarn structure and a vibrant, slightly uneven surface. The different yarn thicknesses create a denim that develops high-contrast and individually distinct fading with wear.
The cut also reflects the proportions of historical work jackets from the late 1940s: the shoulders are broadly cut, while the torso is comparatively short. The back tab on the rear waistband is indigo-dyed in the current version, replacing the original red tab.
The jacket is one-wash, meaning it has already been washed once.
