The "VS-263LR BLACK LEATHER TRAVEL TOTE BAG-MEDIUM" by VASCO is based, according to the manufacturer/retailer, on early American totes used outdoors to transport blocks of ice. The triangular base and elongated handles reflect this original concept, but transfer it into a compact leather bag for everyday use. VASCO's "OLD OIL" cowhide leather from Himeji, a fully vegetable-tanned leather, is used. It is then hand-dyed using the traditional Oka-Zome technique and given an irregular, vintage-like surface through further oil and Kogashi processing. The natural structure and artisanal dyeing ensure that each item has an individual surface. With use, the leather develops its own patina and changes in color and sheen over time.

The interior is lined with robust 100% cotton canvas and features a spacious main compartment and an open inner pocket. The bag closes with a magnetic clasp; solid copper rivets reinforce the connection of the handles to the body at high-stress points. With dimensions of 42 × 28 × 13 cm and a weight of approximately 1,050 g, the medium version offers space for A4 documents and, for example, a 13-inch laptop.
