The "Leather Rolltop Rucksack" from VASCO Tokyo is a modern interpretation of the classic rolltop backpack.

The backpack is crafted from fully vegetable-tanned Kip leather from Himeji, Japan – a region renowned for its high-quality tanneries for generations. The leather is hand-dyed layer by layer using the traditional Oka-Zome hand-dyeing technique, then oiled and heated using the Kogashi method, resulting in a surface with depth, vibrant texture, and a subtle vintage patina.

The main compartment is directly accessible via the back zipper – quick, easy, and convenient on the go, without having to open the roll-top. Depending on the load, the roll-top can be rolled up or down to flexibly adjust the height.
