Born from the idea of combining two iconic leather jackets, the "Youth of America" combines the classic cut of the Highwayman from the 50s with the slim design of the Cafe Race from the 60s. We have adapted the length and width to today's needs and made it a suitable companion for the pub and motorcycle.

The full grain horse leather produced exclusively for Burg & Schild is exceptionally durable and almost water-repellent due to its high fat content.

Heavier and stiffer than cowhide, this jacket must be broken in at first, but after a while body heat and movement ensure that the leather clings to the wearer.

Each jacket is individually made by a self-service specialist in Scotland. Slight differences are evidence of this individual handcraft. Since full-grain leather is a natural product, irregularities are not a defect, but rather make it unique.
