The "LK-050 Champion Sneaker" by John Lofgren is based on classic military training shoes from past decades. Simple, functional, and built for everyday use – these very qualities also characterize John Lofgren's all-black version.
The sneakers are manufactured by Moonstar in Kurume, Japan, one of the last factories that still uses the traditional vulcanization process. The result is a particularly durable and flexible shoe with a distinctive feel.
The upper is made from a 12oz chino selvedge fabric woven in Japan from pure cotton. Reinforced stress points, double stitching, and metal eyelets and ventilation elements made in Japan underline the high quality standard. The double-layered vulcanized rubber sole and a dense sponge insole provide stability.
