Die „LOT. 001XX Light Wash“ Jeans von The Real McCoy’s basiert auf klassischem 5-Pocket-Denim und greift das klassische Bild von eingetragenem Denim auf. Die Waschung setzt genau dort an und erzeugt eine Oberfläche, die wirkt, als hätte sich der Denim über Zeit und Nutzung entwickelt.

Verarbeitet wird ein 13.25 oz. japanischer Selvedge-Denim mit ausgewogener Stärke und beweglicher Struktur. Die Oberfläche wurde durch Stonewash und manuelle Abrieb- sowie Damage-Behandlung veredelt. So entsteht ein gleichmäßiges, organisch wirkendes Fade mit feinen Unregelmäßigkeiten und Anklang an natürlich getragenen Vintage-Denim.

Die Idee knüpft an die Entwicklung der Denim-Kultur an. Zwar wurde „guter Fade“ als ästhetisches Ideal besonders in den 1990er Jahren geprägt, die Wertschätzung für gealterten Arbeitsdenim reicht jedoch deutlich weiter zurück. Genau diesen Zusammenhang greift die Waschung auf.
