The "Lot 6045 Men's Springs Suspenders" from Warehouse & Co. are based on the rare and at the time very innovative "New Way" suspenders: Up until the 1920s, when jeans were still called "waist overalls", men's trousers had suspender buttons and were worn as "sagging trousers". Suspenders were not very common as workwear at the time. The rubber stretched and caused the leather to tear. This is how suspenders were created, which, equipped with small springs, promised mobility and stretchability.
