McCoy Cuban Shirt Ecru

The shirt is made from a Karami fabric (karamiori), a traditional Japanese summer textile. The warp threads are specifically twisted together while the weft passes through. This creates an open, airy structure with small pores that ensures permanent air circulation. The result is a fabric that remains lightweight even at high temperatures while maintaining a stable feel.

Karami fabric originates from the textile tradition of the Kyoto region and was originally developed for light summer kimonos – precisely for conditions where airiness and structure are simultaneously required.

The shape of the Cuban Shirt remains classic: an open collar solution, a relaxed silhouette, and functional chest pockets. In combination with the Karami fabric, a summer shirt is created with a clear focus on warmth, movement, and everyday wear.
