The "Leather Nelson 2Way Bag" by VASCO is based on a classic vintage document case and combines its clean, functional lines with modern versatility.

The backpack is crafted in small workshops in Tokyo. It is made from fully vegetable-tanned Kip leather from Himeji, Japan – a region with a centuries-old tanning tradition. The leather is hand-dyed layer by layer using the traditional Oka-Zome (hill-dyeing) technique, resulting in depth and subtle color nuances. This is followed by an oil and kogashi treatment, which further refines the surface and creates a characteristic, slightly vintage-style patina.

With its generous size, the Nelson 2Way Bag offers space for documents up to A3 size. Folding down the top section transforms it into an A4-compatible flap-shoulder bag. The included shoulder strap is detachable, allowing the bag to be worn flexibly as a tote or shoulder bag.
