The "One Pocket Jean Jacket" by Old Joe Brand is inspired by the early denim jackets worn by American craftsmen. Its minimalist cut, distinctive single pocket, and clean lines reflect the sober functionality of classic workwear, as worn in workshops and factories.
For the BLACK version, an approximately 12oz selvedge denim made from US Cotton is used. The yarn is constructed with a slightly to more strongly twisted structure, preserving the dry characteristic of the cotton while creating a finely uneven surface. The dyeing is deep black and remains embedded in the fabric without creating a coated effect.
The denim is left in its raw state and only sanforized. This gives the fabric stability without losing openness or movement. With wear, the surface softens, the hand becomes smoother, and the fabric structure becomes more pronounced.
