The "Original Printed Easy Trouser (Kasuri)" by OLD JOE BRAND takes up the loose cut of summer loungewear and casual wear from the 1940s and 1950s. The elastic waistband, wide leg, and reduced construction follow a form of clothing that does without formal structure and is strongly defined by the fabric and its drape. Within the collection, the trousers are matched to the corresponding shirt and are offered seasonally with updated Kasuri variants.

For the fabric, OLD JOE develops its own broadcloth from cellulose and natural fibers. 40/1 Tencel yarn is used in the warp, and a 20/1 yarn of rayon and linen in a 70/30 ratio in the weft. This creates a fabric with a smooth, slightly matte surface and flowing drape, which gains a dry, grippy structure due to the linen content. The natural thicket of the linen fibers remains visible and breaks up the uniform surface, creating a lively, slightly restless texture.

The Kasuri motif is printed onto the fabric and reacts to the material's structure. The print does not lay flat over the fabric but follows its irregular surface, making it appear closer to the textile than to a graphic layer. With wear, the fabric gains softness and movement, while the blend of cellulose sheen and linen grip becomes more pronounced.
