The "Rodrigo Regular Tapered Cord" by Tela Genova is a chino with a narrower leg cut that tapers slightly towards the hem. Like the chino in general, its shape harks back to the lightweight uniform trousers of the 19th century, from which a civilian everyday trouser developed via the US Army.

It is made from cotton corduroy: additional weft threads are woven into the base fabric and then cut open, creating the wales; at the knees and seat, the pile flattens over time and lightens accordingly.

Structurally, the Rodrigo features a button fly, side pockets, and jetted back pockets without applied flaps – a calm, minimalist line.
