The "SD-D01" is considered Studio D'Artisan's original jeans model, which took the vintage denim scene by storm in the 1980s. Studio D'Artisan went back to its roots and carefully examined archived pieces of these jeans to get as close to the original as possible. The yarns are dyed with natural indigo in 20 passes by skilled artisans in Tokushima, using the time-tested kasezome (strand dyeing) technique. The "Origin" jeans have a classic, wide, and straight fit and feature a selvedge cinch closure at the back, paying homage to the vintage selvedge jeans of the 1930s.

Note: The jeans run about two sizes smaller – W34 therefore corresponds to a regular W32.
