Service Boot 2040 Kudu Dark Brown

The "2040 CFS Dark Brown Kudu" by VIBERG is based on the classic service boot, which has its origins in the functional work and military boots of the first half of the 20th century. The streamlined design with lacing, a sturdy shaft, and a distinctive toe cap follows a construction originally developed for everyday use. The 2040 last gives the boot a balanced silhouette with slightly more volume in the forefoot.

Kudu leather from C.F. Stead in England is used. Kudu comes from free-living African antelopes and is processed using an elaborate tanning method that preserves the material's natural, highly pronounced grain. The surface displays a lively, irregular texture with fine markings, shading, and natural growth features of the animal. The combination of vegetable and mineral tanning creates leather with high tear resistance and a soft, almost waxy feel.

Kudu reacts very directly to wear: pressure points, scratches, and color nuances develop quickly, leading to a pronounced, individual patina. Every use visibly changes the surface and enhances the depth of the dark brown shade.
