The Viberg "Service Boot DCT 2040 Nero Tea Core Vacchetta Lucida Black" is based on the classic Service Boot, which has its origins in the functional work and military boots of the first half of the 20th century. The minimalist design with lacing, a stable shaft, and a distinctive toe cap follows a construction originally developed for everyday use. The 2040 Last gives the boot a balanced silhouette with a little more volume in the forefoot.
The boot is made from Maryam Nero Teacore Horsebutt leather. This leather comes from the particularly dense area of horsehide and has a firm structure with low stretch. Due to the Teacore dyeing, a warmer base tone lies beneath the dark surface, which becomes visible over time in creases, edges, and stressed areas. This allows each shoe to develop its own unique history and individual patina.
Viberg manufactures the Service Boot using the characteristic Stitchdown construction, where the upper is folded outwards and sewn directly to the sole. The Dainite Half Sole keeps the construction sleek and combines the classic look with a robust rubber sole for everyday use.
