Der "IHG-071-BLK Slimline Small Shell Cordovan Wallet - Black" von IRON HEART ist eine schmale Faltbörse aus Shell Cordovan. Statt eines Münzfachs sitzt in der Mitte ein herausnehmbares Kartenfach, das die Börse flach hält.
Shell Cordovan ist Pferdeleder. Es stammt aus der Faszienschicht unter der Kruppe des Pferdes, dem „Shell", und bleibt übrig, wenn die Haut nach dem Gerben gespalten wird. Die dichten Fasern machen das Leder glatt, es knickt kaum und wird deshalb seit Langem im Schuhmacherhandwerk verwendet. Mit dem Gebrauch entwickelt die glatte Oberfläche eine tiefe Patina.
Gefertigt wird die Börse von Calf Japan, innen kommt Kalbsleder zum Einsatz. Genäht wird mit Sehnenfaden aus der Achillessehne der Ziege, der sehr reißfest ist. Sechs Kartenfächer liegen offen, zwei weitere sind hinter den vorderen versteckt, das Mittelfach ergänzt vier.
Hinweis: Pflegemittel nur sparsam verwenden, zu viel Wachs zieht Schmutz an.
