The Real McCoy's "MC26002 Summer Thermal Tee" is inspired by classic US military undershirts and early functional thermal layers, which were worn as the first warming layer in military everyday life from the 1940s onwards. The construction remains simple, close-fitting and designed for function.

The T-shirt is made from a lightweight cotton waffle knit (thermal knit). The characteristic honeycomb structure is created by a special knitting technique, where the material slightly expands when worn, forming small air chambers. This structure improves thermal insulation without making the fabric heavy or stiff.

At the same time, the open, elastic structure ensures good air circulation and a comfortable wearing climate, making the shirt function both as an underlayer and as a standalone summer layer. The dry feel and slight stretch are typical of classic thermal underwear from the US military context.
