For us, wool blankets from INDIGOFERA have long been a chapter in their own right. They have been with us since the early days of Burg & Schild – woven from pure Norwegian virgin wool in a traditional mill that has been producing blankets since the 1940s.

The "The 5th Sun Blanket" was created in collaboration with Swedish artist Björn Atldax, with whom INDIGOFERA has been working on joint projects for many years.

The title refers to the myth of the five suns from Aztec cosmology. The fifth sun, Nahui Ollin, represents the current world era and symbolizes movement and change. In his work, Atldax frequently explores myths, religions, and the symbols of various cultures—themes that also play a central role in his long-standing work for INDIGOFERA.
