The "BR52661 Trousers, Shell, Field, M-51 Shorts" by Buzz Rickson's are based on the M-51 Field Trousers introduced by the US Army in 1951 and adapt their functional construction into a shortened shorts version.

The model is made from dense cotton satin in a back-satin finish. The matte exterior is created by using the reverse side of the satin weave, resulting in a firm, compact surface with clear material presence. The fabric was valued in military use for its durability and reliable grip.

Large cargo pockets on the sides define the silhouette and offer the typical functional storage space of the M-51 series. Internal cord loops in the waistband serve to accommodate hook suspenders and come directly from the original military construction.
