True Guy FoxFibre® Green Weft Indigo

The "True Guy Foxfibre Green Weft" from Naked & Famous Denim features a weft made of FoxFibre®, a cotton that gains its color while still in the field. It was developed by cotton breeder Sally Fox, who began selectively breeding naturally pigmented varieties in the 1980s to eliminate the need for dyeing. The green variety is considered particularly difficult: it produces shorter fibers, lower yields, and is challenging to spin evenly. The cotton is grown in the USA and spun in Osaka.

The 13 oz Japanese selvedge denim is made of 100% organic cotton. The warp is rope-dyed in indigo, while the weft has been treated with iron. Instead of applying a dye, the iron reacts with the fiber's natural pigments, deepening them into an earthy greenish-gray. While the indigo warp lightens with wear at the knees, thighs, and pockets, this green hue becomes more pronounced with every wash.

The True Guy is a relaxed straight fit with a high rise, generous through the seat, hips, and thighs, with a straight leg down to the hem. It features a button fly.
