Tube Tee Raw White

The "Tube Tee (Crew-Neck)" from OLD JOE BRAND draws on the construction of early sports and underwear, as it developed from the 1930s to the 1950s in the field of functional everyday wear. The classic crew neck with a bound "binder" finish is inspired by old sports shirts, where the neckline was stabilized without restricting movement.

For the material, OLD JOE uses a specially developed jersey made from so-called open-end yarn (空紡糸 / air-spun yarn). The fibers are twisted together by air pressure, which creates a rather dry, slightly rough yarn character. This structure provides a grippy surface with a matte appearance and prevents a strongly smooth or synthetic-looking knit pattern. The surface thus appears deliberately reduced and slightly irregular, which gives the fabric a textile depth that further develops with wear.
