The "Voyoge 2Way Rucksack" by VASCO is a reinterpretation of historical travel bags from around 1900 – designed for travel, built to last for decades.

The backpack is crafted in small workshops in Tokyo. It is made from fully vegetable-tanned Kip leather from Himeji, Japan – a region with a centuries-old tanning tradition. The leather is hand-dyed layer by layer using the traditional Oka-Zome (hill-dyeing) technique, resulting in depth and subtle color nuances. This is followed by an oil and kogashi treatment, which further refines the surface and creates a characteristic, slightly vintage-style patina.

It can be worn flexibly: with the shoulder strap as a backpack or – detached – as a handbag. A rear zipper allows direct access to the main compartment without having to open the top closure.

Each copy is individually stamped with an antique letterpress die. The embossing "BLW" stands for Baggage Load Wanderlust – the desire to pack your things and set off.
