The "Waffle Armored Twist Snood" from Jackman is a snood in the true sense of the word: a tubular scarf that is twisted once and loosely draped around the neck – a style traditionally seen on baseball players during training, who quickly put something around their neck between sessions without having to tie a knot.

Jackman's waffle knit is made from thickened yarn, slowly knitted on low-speed machines, which gives the material its thickness and a soft, stretchy feel. The "Armored" addition refers to Jackman's reinforcement detail, originally developed for the Waffle-Midneck line: a diamond-shaped quilting reminiscent of the reinforced shoulder and elbow areas of old baseball jerseys.
