The "Type Black A-10 Glove" by Buzz Rickson's traces back to the winter glove that the US Army Air Forces procured for pilots starting in 1938.

A sewn-on leather reinforcement protects the cuff from stretching out. Three stitch lines on the back of the hand prevent the leather from over-stretching and maintain the fit. The seams around all five fingers require a high level of sewing expertise.

The idea for an all-black collection originated from the fictional black MA-1 jacket by Buzz Rickson's, which the science fiction author designed for his protagonist in his book "Pattern Recognition." Buzz Rickson's brought the never-before-seen jacket to life, laying the foundation for the unique "Type Black" militaria collaboration.
