Originally developed as an insulating inner lining for the M-65 Field Jacket, the BR15773 William Gibson Black M-65 Liner now stands on its own – light, warm and functional down to the last detail.
The black version originated from the Buzz Rickson's x William Gibson collection. Inspired by a fictional black MA-1 from Gibson's novel *Pattern Recognition *, Buzz Rickson's brought the vision of a completely black military jacket to life, laying the foundation for the unique "Type Black" collaboration.
The quilted nylon fabric is stitched in a characteristic wave pattern to keep the filling even and save weight. This technical advancement replaced the heavy alpaca and wool lining of its predecessors in the 1960s – for more mobility and better protection from the cold.
With a zipper, reinforced edges and a distinctive silhouette, the liner can be worn both on its own and classically in combination with the M-65 Field Jacket.
