In 1957, the US Air Force MA-1 flight jacket was introduced as a direct successor to the modified B-15D. Buzz Rickson's BR14965 MA-1 Jacket Slender Long remains true to the original and is made from heavy, water and wind resistant nylon twill, with a wool fiber lining for additional comfort.

Apart from the first-class workmanship and the true-to-original materials, the jacket impresses with a modern, slim silhouette and a longer cut that gives it a contemporary twist.

Part of the Buzz Rickson's x William Gibson collection, it comes not in the classic "Sage Green", but in deep black - inspired by a fictional black MA-1 that the science fiction author designed for his protagonist in Pattern Recognition . On this basis, Buzz Rickson's brought the never-before-seen jacket to life and thus laid the foundation for the unique "Type Black" militaria collaboration.
