The black pea coat by William Gibson is based on a classic that was designed for the US Navy in 1910. Made then as now from 36 oz Melton wool, it serves its protective purpose while looking elegant. The dense felt structure keeps you warm, is wind and water repellent and makes Melton the most weatherproof of all wool fabrics.

Until the end of the 1930s, it was fitted with black Bakelite buttons depicting an anchor surrounded by 13 stars. William Gibson's pea coat is a contemporary coat without losing any of its authenticity.
