XX-019 14oz Relaxed Tapered Indigo

The Pure Blue Japan XX-019 jeans combine the best of the best. The relaxed tapered cut is now one of their most popular models. This is now finally also produced with the classic 14oz. selvedge denim. The denim is produced on manipulated shuttle looms, which gives it a beautiful, incomparable texture.

The XX-019 by Pure Blue Japan is the founding model of the brand, which originated in Kojima in 1997, and is still its best-selling pair of jeans. Little has changed in terms of cut and features over the years.

A 14oz selvedge denim woven from irregularly spun yarn gives the fabric surface a distinct texture. As the fabric is unsanforized, meaning not pre-shrunk, it will still shrink during the first wash; this raw denim, in particular, has a reputation in raw denim circles for especially high-contrast fading.

An Indigofera leaf motif is embroidered on the back pocket, along with embossed metal hardware and a leather patch. The seams themselves are executed with thicker thread than many other manufacturers, which requires more time and experience in manufacturing. The relaxed tapered cut narrows significantly towards the hem but leaves enough room in the seat and thighs for breaking in.
